International
Association “Intercable” - 20 years old (1990 – 2010)
The decision on
organizing the IA “Intercable” was carried out in April 1990 in Kotor (Yugoslavia)
and the Protocol of intentions was signed. In autumn 1990, in Aprilzi
(Bulgaria) the establishing Agreement and the Constitution of the International
Association “Intercable”, were sign by 15 companies from Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland,
Germany (former DDR), Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia and USSR. The Association was
registered in Moscow.
It is necessary to point out that the Association was created in the time of
existing of socialism in some countries of Eastern Europe and USSR and it was not that easy in
such conditions.
The members of
the Association united their efforts for realization of their technical and
commercial activity and also for rendering assistance in mutual fulfillment of
scientific-research and technological design works. They are working together
in the fields of development of the cooperation in cables and cable machinery
production, while organizing joint ventures and productions, and of course in
the field of standardization and unification. Working languages of the
Association became English and Russian. From the very beginning IA “Intercable”
followed the policy of “open doors”, orienting towards broadening its
membership not only by producers of cables and cable machinery but also by
producers of cable materials and trading firms.
At the beginning
of April 1991 in Warsaw (Poland) the
first general meeting of established International Association “Intercable” was
held. From the moment of the creation of IA “Intercable” till now the President
of IA “Intercable” is well known specialist in cable technology Dr. I.B.
Peshkov.
During all
general meetings of IA “Intercable” members in the addition to the organizing
problems very important technical problems connected with development of world
cable industry were discussed. For example, during the last few years we had
following Technical Symposiums.
In June 2008 (in Bulgaria) "Cables rated at 10-500 kV: current condition and development prospects, manufacturing equipment, measuring
devices, materials".
In December 2008(in Switzerland) “Fire-resistant
flame-retardant cables: condition and development prospects, technological
equipment, measuring devices, materials”.
In
June 2009 (in Austria)

In December
2009 (in Italy)
“Innovations in technology of wire and cable
production, cable manufacturing machinery and control devices”
Now
International Association “Intercable” unites 80 firms from 21 countries from
Europe, America and Asia. The Association will follow the policy of offering
any help to its members in their commercial, scientific and technological
cooperation and involvement the leading producers of cables, cable machinery
and cable materials to our Association.
The organizing
activity is carried out by Directions. The office located in Moscow.
