General Meeting of the IA “Intercable” pointed out that within the period under report the Association actively participated in organization and holding of the International trade fairs “CABEX 2010” in Moscow and “Wire 2010” in Duesseldorf, as well as in preparation of the scientific and technical symposium on the above mentioned topic. Momentive Performance Materials (Germany) and Queins&Co. GmbH (Germany) were accepted into the IA “Intercable”. The following companies were excluded from the Association: EN cables s.r.o. (Czechia) for non-payment of the membership fees for the period established by the Constitution and Wardwell Europe GmbH (Germany) due to the discontinuation of business activities and integration into SKET that is already a member of the IA “Intercable” (there is a written request in this regard). Due to the business reorganization and company name change Sviaztech Ltd. was accept into the IA “Intercable” as an assign of Electroliniji Ltd.

This year the IA “Intercable” will celebrate 20 years from its foundation, therefore the 40th General Meeting of the Association will be jubilee. This General Meeting and associated scientific and technical symposium will take place in Kazan (Russia) from 6 to 11 December 2010. The topic of the symposium foresees reports on the energy saving in the cable industry and new poleolefin based cable materials (silane cross-linked polyethylenes, halogen-free PE compounds, etc.).
