JSC "Rybinsk cable plant" - one of the largest enterprises of manufacture of cable products in Russia - was established in 1949 and specialized for meeting the demands of motor-tractor industry. Being in the center of industrial zone, it has turned to be multi-purpose in manufacture of great range of cable products and wide application in products for civil and defense use.

Today "Rybinsk cable plant" produces more than 7000 cable items with copper and aluminium conductors. There are more than 2000 people working at the enterprise now. Up-to-date manufacturing and testing equipment, monitoring devices and tools, high-quality materials are applied in production.

    The enterprise was one of the first Russian plants in cable industry, which introduced and certificated the system of quality management according to the requirements of the standard ISO 9001-2000 issued by "KEMA" Netherlands. The certificate is registered by the international network for management system assessment and certification "IQNet". Production quality is confirmed by the licence of Rosaviacosmos, Maritime and River Register of shipping, Gosatomnadsor, Military Register Certificate.

    In 2004 "Rybinsk cable plant" developed the manufacture of about 30 items of new production. These are fireproof cables with low smoke and gas at burning, wires with silicone insulation for high cross-sections, operation cables for the control of oil pipelines' condition. In 2005 the new for the enterprise production of magnet wires with glass fiber insulation has been started as well as technology of cable armoring with steel strips and technology of manufacture of cables with cross-linked PE insulation.

    In 2005 "Rybinsk cable plant" according to Association "Electrocable" data has taken the third place in copper processing volume among the manufacturers of cable production in Russia and increased production volumes for 30%.

    The enterprise adopts foreign experience in application of modern technologies, methods of organization of works and high quality maintenance of production. Joint Russian-Austrian company WOLMAG operates on the territory of the plant since 1987 and produces high-quality enamelled wires. There are more than sixty Russian enterprises and firms among the consumers of "SP "Wolmag RK" production.

    Today JSC "Rybinsk cable plant" possesses representative offices in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ekaterinburg and Rostov - na - Donu.

    Among foreign consumers there are firms from Austria, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and the CIS.

    "Rybinsk cable plant" is the repeated participant of international exhibitions in Moscow, Hannover, Izmir, Singapore and Peking.
